Our Story

Lunivane was founded by Ivy Rodger, driven by a vision to provide a more steady, thoughtful, and person-focused approach to disability support in Melbourne. With a background in frontline disability support and a deep commitment to the community, Ivy established Lunivane to bridge the gap between professional expertise and genuine human connection.

Supported by Winnie Salamon, a qualified Social Worker with extensive mental health experience, our family-led service values consistency, trust, and meaningful relationships over a one-size-fits-all approach. We believe that effective support should feel empowering, flexible, and built around real people.

Our Mission & Values

Our mission is to deliver thoughtful, evidence-informed support grounded in respect, trust, and genuine care, supporting people to build confidence, capacity, and wellbeing over time.

PERSON-CENTRED

We provide support that truly centres the individual. This means listening first, respecting choice, and tailoring support to each person’s needs, goals, and daily life. Support should feel empowering, flexible, and built around real people, not systems.

Clinical Compassion

We combine professional expertise with genuine care. With strong backgrounds in disability support, mental health, counselling, and social work, our approach is evidence-based, safe, and informed, while remaining warm, respectful, and human.

Capacity & Trust

We focus on building confidence, independence, and long-term outcomes. Through consistency and honest relationships, we support people to grow their skills, navigate change, and feel supported over time.

Our Approach

Our approach is guided by the meaning behind the name Lunivane. Inspired by the moon, which represents calm, steadiness, and reflection, and a weather vane, which symbolises direction and guidance, Lunivane reflects our commitment to supporting people through change, uncertainty, and everyday challenges.

We believe effective support is grounded in consistency, trust, and a steady presence. By offering thoughtful guidance and reliable care, we aim to help individuals feel supported, oriented, and confident as they work toward their goals at their own pace.
